Stefanou appointed to 2012 Federal Housing Policy Committee

Tapped for his expertise, Dimitri Stefanou, CCIM accepts appointment as Affiliate Representative to the worldwide CCIM Organization for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Federal Housing Policy Committee.

Rochester, New York (Wire) November 1, 2011 -- Dimitri Stefanou, CCIM of C. Stefanou Realtors, LLC has been appointed to the 2012 National Association of Realtors Federal Housing Policy Committee.

“Founded in 1908, NAR has grown from its original nucleus of 120 members to more than 1 million today. NAR is composed of REALTORS who are involved in residential and commercial real estate as brokers, salespeople, property managers, appraisers, counselors, and others who are engaged in all aspects of the real estate industry”

The 2011 Leadership team made the appointment, and notified Stefanou on October 17, 2011. The term commences on December 1, 2011.

“I accept the appointment bestowed upon me. It’s an honor.” Stefanou said. This appointment carries additional responsibility as Stefanou is an affiliate representative to Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) worldwide organization. Stefanou all to familiar with investment sales of Multifamily properties and portfolios from the Investor side, Broker side and Lender side said “No doubt I am very excited. This is a hot button topic given current state of our economy. Certainly there will be some passionate conversations without question.”

In addition to the committee work, Stefanou will be attending the 2012 Midyear legislative Meetings in Washington, DC and the 2012 National Conference for NAR.

Stefanou has and continues to serve on several boards of many different organizations locally, regionally and nationally.
